BEIJING, July 1 (Xinhua) — A new bridge over the Jialing River has opened to traffic in the city of Guangyuan, southwest China\’s Sichuan Province, the China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (CRCC) said Saturday.
The main line of the Baiyanba Jialing River Bridge, constructed by the China Railway 15th Bureau Group Co. Ltd., is 1,422 meters long, said the CRCC.
The main tower of the cable-stayed bridge is about 130 meters, it said.
The completion of the bridge in Guangyuan will significantly improve the traffic conditions along the Jialing River and promote local economic development.
