In 2019, Mamisoa from Madagascar and Ike Kitili from Kenya began studying xiangsheng (crosstalk) at Tianjin Normal University, and went on to become partners performing the art form. They are constantly searching for creative inspiration from their daily lives, and experiencing the cultural charm of xiangsheng. They believe that it is a humorous art form that expresses a life philosophy and reflects the local customs and traditions of China.
