The People\’s Bank of China, China\’s central bank, will issue a set of commemorative coins and a banknote starting Dec. 15 to celebrate the upcoming New Year. The set, all legal tender, includes one gold coin, one silver coin, one two-color copper alloy coin and one banknote.

The 8-gram rhombus-shaped silver commemorative coin contains 8 grams of pure silver. It has a face value of 3 yuan and a maximum circulation of 1.5 million.
