Over 18,000 runners compete in the 2023 Liuzhou Marathon held in Liuzhou city, south China\’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. (People\’s Daily Online/Fu Huazhou)
The 2023 Liuzhou Marathon and Liuzhou Police Marathon were held on April 9, 2023 in Liuzhou city, south China\’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. A total of 18,288 runners competed in a circuit decorated with blooming redbuds, and enjoyed the run in Liuzhou\’s bracing spring.
The event consisted of a 42 kilometer full marathon, a 21 kilometer half marathon, and a 4 kilometer mini marathon. 70 percent of the runners were from outside the city, including 1,388 policemen.
In addition to the prize money, winners were also awarded with locally manufactured cars.
